Come and sail on the America's Cup Yachts "Stars & Stripes" and "Abracadabra". Dennis Conner’s America’s Cup Experience in San Diego, California offers this exhilarating and unique experience to individuals and small groups. You've watched these magnificent, high-tech boats race for sailing's ultimate prize-the America's Cup, but nothing compares to the thrill and excitement of sailing aboard an IACC yacht. With masts that stretch skyward as high as an 11-story building, these precision-engineered racing yachts are the fastest mono-hull sailing vessels in the world.

This hands-on experience is a “once in a lifetime” thrill and no previous sailing experience is required. This is good clean fun for the entire family….5 years and older. There are 11/2 hour and 21/2 hour trips available. Every day is a ‘race’ opportunity on these amazing high-tech yachts.

The famous 139 Ft yacht “America” (the America’s Cup is named after this yacht) also conducts sunset trips each evening during (your conference) summer in San Diego. Conveniently located on the main downtown waterfront at the Maritime Museum this beautiful & famous yacht provides a very special 2 ˝ hour sailing experience that you’ll treasure a lifetime. See San Diego’s beautiful bay and skyline from the fine teak decks of “America”. A treat for the entire family this trip includes entry to the wonderful ‘Maritime Museum of San Diego’, soft beverages, quality snacks and you can BYO favorite adult beverage if you wish.

Pre-Sailing Instructions

Some things you should know:

1. We have free bottled water and sodas on the boat. We can not offer you any beer/wine until we get our beer & wine license approved. However, you can bring whatever you like. If you do decide to drink any alcoholic beverages then we may not allow you to steer the boat or work any other equipment.

2. You may bring food, but most passengers are having too much fun to eat.

3. We highly recommend that you use the restroom prior to boarding as we have very primitive facilities aboard. There is a clean public restroom next to the parking lot. We can also transfer you to a restroom while we are underway by using our tender, but this take away from some of your trip.

4. All passengers will have an opportunity to steer the yacht under the direct supervision of our staff. However, we reserve the right to refuse this privilege if we feel that it will endanger the boat (such as if you have been drinking). You may ask to operate other items with the exception of the tailing of any lines. However, do not operate any items unless you have received approval from our crew. This is for your own safety.

5. All passengers need to remember that these boats are authentic America’s Cup yachts and are very powerful. As such, we require that passengers review, sign and have someone else witness a release form. If you have any questions about the release please feel free to call us or bring your question to our attention when you arrive.

Please allow 48 hours (this does not include weekends) to confirm this portion of our order. Once you place an order online, your information is then sent to a company representative, who will contact you by email to confirm the date for your tour.
